About the Position

We are seeking to hire a talented Senior Accountant to join our team. We are looking for an accountant with experience in Sales and property tax. In addition to managing the sales and property tax for multiple legal entities, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of tasks including sales tax reconciliations, journal entries, researching variances, running reports and a variety of ad hoc projects. This person will work in conjunction with a variety of individuals across the Accounting and Finance Teams. This individual will also be expected to maintain a high degree of attention to detail.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • The Senior Accountant will manage sales tax for multiple legal entities in multiple ERP’s: Sage 100, Sage 500, NetSuite, D365 and AX
  • Prepare detailed recs for sales tax
  • Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on the reconciliations
  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Manage email campaigns to keep our customer exemption certificates current
  • Prepare property tax for multiple entities in a variety of states
  • Establish and maintain confidential company files and records
  • Perform other duties as assigned as an accounting professional


Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Accounting or Finance Degree Required
  • 3-5 years Accounting or similar Finance experience preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material in this accounting position.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Must have strong analytic abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment; makes decisions in logical and rational manner; demonstrates “common sense", practical and stays cool under pressure.
  • Ability to gather facts, analyze problems in depth and break down into components.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Creative; generates new approaches to problems, demonstrates imagination.
  • This accountant must have high integrity and work ethic.
