As a Mental Health Counselor at Need For Care Mental Clinic, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate their mental health status and identify treatment needs.
• Develop individualized therapy plans based on each client's unique issues, which may range from anxiety and depression to substance abuse and eating disorders.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions with clients, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools to help them navigate their challenges.
• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, when appropriate, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Document sessions accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.

Your work will involve a diverse patient population, including individuals struggling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. You will use your expertise to assess and address their needs while employing culturally responsive therapeutic techniques that honor their backgrounds and experiences. Building a trusting and supportive rapport with clients will be crucial to fostering an effective therapeutic alliance.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients from various backgrounds.

While not required, candidates with the following experience will be prioritized:

• Demonstrated experience delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms for effective documentation and patient management.
