Field Support Agent

Location: Portland, ME to the Canadian Border (Travel Required)
Duration: 3-Month Contract

Pay: 20-24 per hour with overtime
Schedule: Full-Time
Per Diem: $185/day when overnight hotel stays are required
Vehicle: Company vehicle provided

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Field Support Agent to provide on-site support across various work locations throughout northern Maine, from Portland up to the Canadian border. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is comfortable performing physical labor, and can adapt to changing weather and environmental conditions.

The Field Support Agent will travel to assigned worksites, assist with field activities, document site conditions, and ensure accurate reporting of worksite observations and progress. This position requires extensive walking, working in remote areas, and exposure to a variety of outdoor elements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to multiple worksites throughout Maine using a company-provided vehicle.
  • Conduct site visits and provide general field support as directed by project leadership.
  • Walk worksites to observe, inspect, and document various site conditions and activities.
  • Capture and record accurate notes, photographs, and field documentation.
  • Assist with basic physical labor and field-related tasks as needed.
  • Maintain detailed daily reports and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate findings, observations, and potential issues to project teams.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working in the field.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors for extended periods of time.
  • Comfortable performing physical labor and walking long distances throughout the workday.
  • Able to work in challenging environmental conditions, including:
    • Heat and humidity
    • Rain
    • Mosquitoes and insects
    • Uneven terrain
    • Remote outdoor locations
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory as needed.
  • Comfortable staying overnight in hotels when project needs require travel.
  • Basic computer and mobile device proficiency for reporting and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in field operations, construction, utilities, telecommunications, engineering support, environmental services, surveying, or similar outdoor work.
  • Experience collecting field data, site documentation, or performing inspections.
  • Familiarity with GPS mapping, mobile reporting applications, or Microsoft Office products.
