Consultant, People Analytics & Reporting

Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for supporting Cushman and Wakefield People Function teams by designing concise, informative, and easy to use reports and dashboards that will allow business leaders to make timely data-driven decisions, specifically regarding HR focused metrics. A strong background in Power BI, DAX, Power BI administration on-line, RLS, data modelling, and experience analyzing and reporting HR data are key to this role.
The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with members of other teams within People Services and Finance to translate complex business requirements into reports and dashboards that enable effective decisions making and ensure reporting quality.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the various operations across Cushman and Wakefield geographically and functionally.
  • Collect and understand all necessary requirements for projects.
  • Design, develop, test, publish and maintain Power BI models, reports, and dashboards.
  • Leverage data analytics and visualization tools to present information in a logical, visually pleasing, audience friendly manner that drive effective conversations, and enable fact-based decisions.
  • Develop insights based on data to assist in informed decision making.
  • Ensure data quality in completed projects by employing best strategies during development and testing. Perform period audits to maintain integrity of developed solutions.
  • Implement data best practices to ensure a common and recognizable visual language for all data users and sources.
  • Support the development of efficient and value-added processes in collaboration with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Support the execution of projects by adhering to project management requirements
  • Maintain and support data analytics platform and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Maintain proper documentation around on-going and completed projects including maintenance of a Data Catalog.
  • Offer technical guidance and overall support to junior team members.
  • Perform other related duties as required or requested.
  • Deliver high quality products by adhering to team standard ways of operating - Project Management, Production Release Cycle, DevOps, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of other education and 10 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • 7+ years' experience as a BI Developer
  • 3+ years of experience with Power BI and Power BI Services online.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, DAX, Power Query (M).
  • Proficiency in BI technologies (e.g., MicroStrategy, Workday Prism Analytics, or Tableau).
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced SQL queries and experience working with relational databases.
  • Ability to identify Power BI problems/performance issues and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity where lines of ownership aren't always clear.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and explain data insights.
  • Previous experience servicing requests for information and leading group discussions.
  • Experience servicing requests for information is preferred.
  • 3 + years of experience in a business facing analytical role with experience in interpreting data, analyzing results to identify trends.
  • Previous experience working in the human resource field is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics for integrating and managing data from various sources, Workday Reporting tools, and providing insights is a plus.
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analytics or Power Platform Certifications is desired.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
