Job description

Job Summary:
Lenovo is a global technology powerhouse focused on delivering Smarter Technology for All. They are seeking a Hybrid Cloud Power and Cooling Support Manager to lead the technical strategy and operational support for high-density infrastructure, ensuring effective management of power and cooling technologies for advanced computing clusters.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical strategy, operational support, and lifecycle management for the high-density infrastructure powering our most advanced Neptune® liquid cooled AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters.
• Management of the global technical support team performing HPC and AI cluster administration
• Coordinate with delivery organizations to maintain high performance levels for service-related processes and continuous improvement
• Partner with internal R&D and silicon vendors (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) to align facility capabilities to support future hardware thermal design power (TDP) roadmaps.
• Manage relationships with global cooling OEMs (e.g., Vertiv, Schneider Electric, nVent, etc) to ensure rapid spare-parts availability and specialized technician support.
• Act as the highest escalation point for thermal, liquid or power-related outages.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for leaks, pressure drops, or thermal excursions, implementing global remediations.
• Serve as the global lead for supporting Lenovo’s solution for Liquid-to-Liquid and Liquid-to-Air cooling systems, overseeing Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), secondary fluid loops, and manifold integrations.
• Manage the chemistry and filtration standards for cooling fluids to prevent corrosion, scaling, and biological growth across global sites.
• Develop and standardize global Maintenance Window (MW) procedures for 'hot-swapping' liquid-cooled components in production AI environments.
• Review, Statement of Work (SoW), projects size and scope.
• Responsible for PNC support team utilization and resource assignment
• Take ownership of the most critical incidents, coordinate with resolution parties, and establish effective communication between stakeholders
• Assume ownership of and resolve escalations, providing clear summaries and recommendations.
• Participate in regular service review meetings
• Provide accurate and regular reports on the performance of service delivery
• Define the best operating model along with KPIs ensuring the best customer experience utilizing different teams within Lenovo.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years internal or external experience in applicable field of expertise, ideally in the information technology, high-performance computing and support services industry.
• Experience managing a technical support team.
• Experience managing infrastructure across different regulatory environments (EUROPE, META, North America, APAC and LATAM).
Preferred:
• Ability to explain the 'Thermal Resistance' of a cold plate to a C-suite executive or a facility technician with equal clarity.
• Remains calm and analytical during high-stakes infrastructure failures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship building with proven ability to motivate and influence across teams.
• Strong support service delivery, time, project, and priority management skills.
• Experience with managing critical and complex customer situations or incidents.
• Project Management/Change Management/ ITIL certification is a plus.
• Commercial experience in information technology and high-performance computing, with familiarity with the use of cloud services economics is a plus.
• Training or experience in negotiation.
• Training or experience in project accounting.
• English language required. Additional languages such as German, Spanish or French would be an advantage.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license. CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional) or specialist cooling certifications.
• Experience with Immersion Cooling (Single or Two-Phase) is a significant plus.
