ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

REQUIREMENTS
- RN license required: State license or Compact license at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Travel experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale
- Preferred skills: Med-surg/post-op care, ostomy care, wound vacs, chest tube and surgical drain management, feeding tube and NGT care, IV starts/maintenance, PICC care, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation, ABG interpretation, oxygen therapies
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- RTO (pre-approved time off): Max 7 days per contract; all RTO must be finalized at submission.
- Orientation: Reported 8-19 NBO hours based on contract length; modules completed during orientation.
