Summary To mentor new graduate student instructors. Career Readiness Competencies: Communication Critical Thinking Professionalism Essential Functions As a peer-mentor for mathematics and statistics graduate students, mentors will work with approximately four first- and second-year graduate student instructors who are teaching non-emporium courses for the mathematics and statistics department. During each semester of employment, the mentor will observe each novice at least three times, provide constructive feedback on the observation, and facilitate small group meetings with their cohort approximately every other week.
