Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: RN

Specialty: Intensive Care

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Nights

Hours per Shift: 12

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: RN License

Certifications: ACLS, BLS

Must-Have: ICU experience

Comprehensive assessment skills

Care of septic patients

Care of mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring devices

Description: EKG test required. The unit has 30 beds. Patient ratios are 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3. Equipment includes Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000. The electronic medical record system used is Epic. The type of patients in this unit includes those with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psychiatric disorders. A team player with a positive attitude and flexibility is essential. Candidates should demonstrate empathy. Dress code requires navy scrubs. Unacceptable attire includes hoodies and non-designated sweatshirts. Orientation includes modules completed on the first day and Epic training if needed. A day of orientation will occur in the unit.
