Job description
Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapist
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 15:30
Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: VA license required or license from another state with proof of application for VA license
Certifications: BLS, ARRT (T)
Must-Have: State license and ARRT certification. Experience with Varian True Beams and Aria Electronic medical record (EPIC preferred). Minimal RTO is preferred.
Description: Clinician will administer radiation therapy treatments on a Varian True Beam Linear Accelerator. Patient age group includes adults and geriatrics. Daily caseload is 30-40 patients per day. General skills include CBCT/kV/mV imaging. Experience with dosimetry systems such as IMRT and Electron Beam Therapy is required. Specialty treatment experience includes Electron Field, Respiratory Gating/Breath Hold for Left Breast, Heterotopic Bone, Superior Vena Cava, Gynecomastia, and Prophylactic Treatments. Familiarity with specialty cancers and illnesses including Keloids and Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials is necessary. Experience operating a Varian TrueBeam Linear Accelerator is required. Knowledge of documentation systems, particularly ARIA, is preferred. First-time travelers are accepted. Smokers/nicotine users are not permitted. Flu vaccine is required during flu season. Exemptions will be reviewed and must comply with guidelines. COVID-19 vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
