Locum - Physician - Cardiology - Non-Invasive | Galloway, NJ

Quick Facts

  • Location: 65 West Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway, NJ
  • Start Date: 07/01/2026
  • Duration: 1-2 weeks initially, ongoing coverage as needed
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Weekend call on 2+ weekends per month (not consecutive), with a 2:4 call ratio
  • Hours/Week: 40 hours/week
  • Employment Type: Locum, part-time/temporary
  • License/Certs: Board Certified in Cardiology, BLS, ACLS
  • Experience: Prior cardiology experience preferred
  • Pay Rate: Competitive hourly pay (specific rate discussed upon application)

What You'll Do

  • Provide non-invasive cardiology consultations and evaluations
  • Perform procedures such as echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, EKGs, treadmill stress tests
  • Collaborate with a team of 24 cardiologists in an inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Manage adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Document and maintain patient records using Oracle/Cerner EMR system
  • Participate in weekend call rotations, supporting hospital cardiology needs
  • Provide expert care for Cardiology patients in a Level 2 trauma hospital with 600 beds

What You Need

Required:
  • Board Certified in Cardiology
  • Active NJ medical license or ability to obtain
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of cardiology experience
Preferred:
  • Experience with echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
