Job description

Title: Permanent - Neuro-Ophthalmologist
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Overview:
A well-established healthcare group in Grand Rapids is seeking a full-time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to join its comprehensive Neurosciences team. This program is recognized for its advanced approach to neurological care, offering a broad spectrum of services ranging from stroke and epilepsy to spine and sleep disorders.
Position Highlights:
  • Join the only dedicated Neuro-Ophthalmology program in West Michigan
  • Provide comprehensive medical evaluation and management of conditions affecting the visual pathways and ocular motor control
  • Diagnose and treat vision loss of unknown or neurological origin
  • Perform specialized testing, including visual acuity, field testing, pupillary assessment, and optical coherence tomography
  • Offer in-depth patient and family education
  • Collaborate within a strong interdisciplinary care model that includes RNs, technicians, therapists, and patient coordinators
  • Affiliated with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as a Partner in MS Care
  • General Neurology visits may be part of the role as the practice grows
Candidate Requirements:
  • Open to new graduates (must obtain board certification within 2 years of eligibility)
  • Must have active or eligible board certification (not accepting lapsed boards needing recertification)
  • H1B visa candidates accepted
  • Not accepting J1 visa or locum candidates
