Job description

PRN Healthcare is seeking a travel Perfusionist for a travel job in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Job Description & Requirements

Position Role (RN, Tech, LPN, PT, etc.): Perfusionist
Specialty: Cardiac Surgery
Number of Contractor’s Being Requested: 2
Shift Hours: Alternating hours. Mainly Monday-Friday but could be some night and weekend hours, if needed, to care for ECMO.
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 30-40
Weekend Shift Hours: Varies

Call Requirements: None currently

Required Certifications (i.e. BLS, ACLS, NRP, ARRT, AWHONN, etc.): CCP, ACLS
Years of Experience: 2 Years
• Float Requirements: Lafayette East Campus

Must Have Skills/Experience: able to run perfusion related equipment


 

Equipment Management Performs routine maintenance on all perfusion-related equipment. Autotransfusion Devices Operation Operates autotransfusion devices in an effort to minimize total blood loss during cardiac and other operations. ECMO & VAD Assembly & Operation Assembles and operates extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist devices (VAD). Vascular Procedures Support Applies extra-corporeal circulation to support vascular procedures. Safe and Effective Conduct of CPB Minimizes to the fullest extent possible, the risks associated with extracorporeal circulation through the safe and effective conduct of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). POC Testing Performs point-of-care (POC) testing, interpreting the results which guide the conduct of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Supports CV Perfusion throughout the Central/Western IN territory. Education Requirements: Education Education Level Education Details Required/ Preferred Bachelor's Degree Cardiovascular Perfusion Science Required Master's Degree Cardiovascular Perfusion Science Preferred
