Position Overview:
A Flagger plays a critical role in ensuring the safety of workers, pedestrians, and drivers in and around construction zones. This position involves directing traffic, maintaining clear communication with the construction team, and adhering to all safety regulations to prevent accidents and ensure smooth traffic flow. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of working in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions

Position Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example, promoting company values and ensuring safety for yourself and others.
  • Work under the supervision of foreman and/or superintendent.
  • Direct and control traffic through and around construction zones using hand signals, flags, and signs.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
  • Monitor traffic patterns and adjust flagging procedures as needed to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with construction workers, drivers, and pedestrians to ensure clear understanding of directions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
  • Flagger certified
  • Basic understanding of equipment and construction tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
  • Must pass controlled substance tests before and during employment.
  • Physical ability to lift/carry 50-100 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, and perform tasks in extreme weather conditions..
  • Completion of Siema Safety Orientation Course, Siema 60-day Orientation Course, LADOTD Certified Flagger training,
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
