Location: Sierra Vista, AZ
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift (6:00 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-4:00 PM)

Lighthouse Lab Services is the leading provider of laboratory personnel. We are currently partnering with a growing pathology laboratory in Sierra Vista, Arizona to hire a Histotechnologist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, smaller laboratory where you'll gain exposure to a variety of histology procedures and play an important role in delivering high-quality patient care.

The Role You'll Play:

  • Process human tissue specimens for microscopic examination
  • Perform embedding, microtomy, routine H&E staining, Gram stains, and special stains
  • Prepare high-quality histopathology slides from surgical specimens
  • Properly orient and embed tissue specimens
  • Perform routine histology procedures with accuracy and efficiency
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot histology laboratory instrumentation
  • Perform and document routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures
  • Follow laboratory SOPs and quality assurance standards
  • Ensure accurate specimen identification, handling, processing, and documentation
  • Report results accurately and maintain detailed laboratory records
  • Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely turnaround times
  • Assist with grossing specimens if qualified and interested (preferred, but not required)

What You'll Bring:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology or a related laboratory science
  • Minimum 1 year of histology experience required
  • 2+ years of experience preferred
  • Experience with embedding, microtomy, routine histology, Gram stains, and special stains
  • ASCP Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) certification preferred but not required
  • Grossing experience or willingness to learn is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment
  • Comfortable working in a smaller laboratory with a broad variety of case types

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $70,000-$75,000 annually, depending on experience
