Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a versatile and technology-focused IT Manager / Construction Technology Coordinator to support local general contractor. This unique role combines day-to-day IT administration with construction technology and project documentation responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing company technology infrastructure, supporting office staff, administering Microsoft 365 services, and documenting construction progress through weekly site photography and drone operations.

This position offers the opportunity to work both in the office and in the field while playing a key role in supporting company operations, project visibility, and technology initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Information Technology

  • Manage and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including:
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
    • User account provisioning and deprovisioning
    • Security groups, permissions, and access management
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, workflows, and permissions
  • Deploy, configure, and support company computers, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for office staff
  • Manage hardware inventory, software licensing, and equipment lifecycle planning
  • Coordinate with third-party technology vendors and service providers
  • Monitor system security, updates, backups, and technology best practices
  • Research and implement new technology solutions to improve company operations

Construction Technology & Project Documentation

  • Conduct weekly site visits to active construction projects
  • Capture aerial drone photography and video documenting project progress
  • Take ground-level photographs of construction milestones and completed work
  • Organize, edit, and distribute project photos to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Maintain drone equipment and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies
  • Support field staff with technology-related needs and applications
  • Assist with implementation and management of construction technology tools and platforms
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction personnel to improve technology adoption and project documentation processes

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory)
  • Experience managing SharePoint sites and permissions
  • Strong desktop, laptop, and mobile device support experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification
  • Experience with drone photography and videography
  • Construction industry experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or endpoint management platforms
  • Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with construction management or project documentation software
  • Basic photo and video editing experience

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel regularly to local construction sites
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and transport technology and photography equipment as needed
