GENERAL FUNCTION

The Distribution Clerk processes merchandise as it is received by the Distribution Center.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unloads semi-trucks, package trucks (UPS, Federal Express).
  • Signs for, counts, and inspects delivered product.
  • Sorts and directs packages to processing area.
  • Processes received product for put away.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of product received.
  • Responsible for any additional duties assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent mathematical aptitude/numerical recognition
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Use of ten-key calculator
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by Supervisor and Manager
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40-60 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a standing/walking position for up to 10 hours

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in a Receiving department
  • High School Diploma or GED
