Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a RMA Shipping Clerk to join the Data Center Power and Control Team in Reno, NV. This job will incorporate the responsibilities of the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Specialist. In an RMA Specialist role, the position assists Technical Support shipping and receiving needs, prepares customer orders, and checks shipping orders against customer RMA orders. The RMA Specialist will be responsible for documenting most RMA transactions using Legrand process and internal systems (SAP). We are seeking a candidate to add/expand the Technical Support Team. The substantial focus will be on Raritan’s RMA processing for a wide assortment of Legrand HW products. Strong day-to-day problem solving with excellent people skills and an understanding of error free workplace.

What Will You Do?

  • Perform RMA receiving & inspections of products.
  • Receiving Returned Products: Accept and inspect returned products for damage, defects, or discrepancies. Log details of the returned items into inventory management systems. (SAP), non-compliance with warranty conditions, or damage caused by customers.
  • Coordinating Repairs or Replacements: Arrange for the repair or replacement of returned products with relevant departments. Ensure proper tracking of repair processes and follow-ups with Tech Support Customer facing team.
  • Updating & maintaining Tech Support and Stock Levels: Accurately track returned items and update inventory records. Coordinate with the warehouse to quarantine or dispose of returned goods as appropriate.
  • Communicating with Customers: Maintain clear communication with team regarding the status of their RMA requests, return instructions, and shipment tracking information.
  • Logistics: shipping logistics for returned items, including preparing RMA shipments.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Company Policies: Adhere to company return policies, warranty terms, and RMA guidelines. Ensure all returned items are processed following proper protocols to avoid financial or legal issues.

Education: High School Diploma & College or Electrical Degree or equivalent combination of education and 5 years work experience in Electrical Industry.

Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of AC/DC power circuitry.
  • Demonstrated ability use of electronic equipment in basic troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with SAP or ERP Systems: Proficiency in using SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for managing inventory, processing RMA orders, and tracking shipments is essential. Prior experience in SAP modules related to logistics would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Shipping and Receiving Procedures: Familiarity with shipping, receiving, and return processes, including domestic and international shipping.
  • Inventory Management Skills: Experience in handling inventory tracking, maintaining stock levels, and updating product status in inventory systems. Being able to ensure accurate records of returned and replacement products is critical.
  • Attention to Detail and Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain proper documentation for returns, and ensure accuracy in paperwork such as shipping labels, packing slips, and invoices.
  • Customer Service Skills: Experience in dealing with customers, providing clear instructions, and resolving disputes related to product returns or shipping. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for maintaining positive customer relationships.
