Facility Maintenance Technician

Location: Columbus, OH (Regional Travel Required to Cincinnati, OH & Indianapolis, IN).

Salary: $65,000 – $68,000 annually, based on experience.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with after-hours and weekend work as needed.

Reports To: Director of Maintenance & District Operations Manager.

Position Summary:
Laundry Capital is seeking a skilled, dependable, and self-motivated Facility Maintenance Technician to support our growing network of laundromat locations throughout the Columbus, Cincinnati, and Indianapolis markets.

This position is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and taking pride in keeping facilities operating at their best. The primary focus of this role is maintaining our facilities by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting facility systems, and completing repairs across multiple trades. As you become familiar with our operations, you'll also receive hands-on training to assist with basic commercial laundry equipment diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general facility maintenance issues.
  • Complete general facility repairs, including lighting, painting, drywall, doors, ceiling tile, roofing, flooring, and minor carpentry.
  • Learn to assist with diagnosing and repairing commercial washers and dryers through company-provided training.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and restore operations as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Partner with Store Managers to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized repairs are required.
  • Complete work orders, document repairs, and maintain accurate service records using the company's maintenance system.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory using a company-provided vehicle.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of commercial facility maintenance or related maintenance experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general facility maintenance.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Experience using tablets, smartphones, and computerized work order management systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must possess a standard set of basic hand tools required for commercial maintenance. Laundry Capital provides specialty tools and equipment.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
