Mobile Application Developer (iOS + Android)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Onsite - No hybrid/remote) local only
Duration: 6+ month contract | Likely extension to 12+ months

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Application Developer to join a growing team in Philadelphia, supporting the next version (V3) of a high-visibility public-facing mobile app. This hands-on role requires experience across iOS and Android platforms, proficiency in Kotlin shared modules for cross-platform development, and a strong focus on performance, functionality, and user experience. Candidates with UI/UX design experience will have an advantage.
Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Utilize Kotlin shared modules for cross-platform code efficiency and maintainability.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams to implement new features.
  • Perform thorough testing, debugging, and performance optimization for mobile apps.
  • Ensure apps remain compatible with latest iOS and Android OS releases.
  • Contribute to UI/UX design discussions, suggesting improvements and implementing best practices.
  • Maintain clean, well-documented code and version control using GitHub.
  • Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and trends, and incorporate them where applicable.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience in mobile app development for iOS and Android.
  • Proficiency in Swift, Kotlin, and Java.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub for version control.
  • At least one published mobile app available for review.
  • Strong understanding of mobile performance optimization, memory management, and best practices.
  • Ability to work onsite in Philadelphia; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cross-platform development frameworks or Kotlin multiplatform projects.
