Qualifications:                         *Good health & physical condition must be able to lift 50 pounds

Reports To:                             Activity Director and Principal
Supervises:                              Students
BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE
            The Kansas Association for Youth is a character-building, leadership training program directed by the Kansas State High School Activities Association.  The six objectives of KAY are: character, health, service, appreciation, recreation and leadership.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee performing the duties of this position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop, and reach.  The employee may be occasionally required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds.  The employee is required to interact with staff and meet the demands of several different people.  The employee is responsible for the work output of others.  The employee occasionally works extended hours.  Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Attends and provides leadership at officer meetings and general meetings each month.
  2. Provides guidance for fund-raisers, service projects and student activities throughout the year.
  3. Follows state guidelines for the organization.
  4. Oversee the KAY point system.
  5. Responsible for numerous state reports throughout the year.
  6. Acts as treasurer for the group.
  7. Oversee the regional conference-(Host Sponsor).
  8. Other Activities approved by building administrators.

 
Term of Employment:             9 Months
Salary Range:                          Extra Pay/Extra Duty Schedule
Evaluation Frequency:            Job performance will be evaluated at the end of each school year.
