Job description

Join Our Team as an Industrial Electrician (Levels I, II & III)

Location: Blue Water Area
Schedule: Full-Time | All 3 shifts available
Shift Premium: Available for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Range (Based on Experience & Testing):
  • Level I: $34.25 per hour
  • Level II: $38.25 per hour
  • Level III: $42.25 per hour

We are seeking skilled Industrial Electricians at multiple levels to support advanced automated manufacturing equipment, robotics, PLC systems, and CNC controls in a fast-paced production facility in the Blue Water Area.

Core Responsibilities (All Levels)
  • Operate mobile CMMS device for reactive and preventive maintenance assignments
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance (wire harnesses, filters, cable management)
  • Comply with ARC flash regulations and all electrical safety standards
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives
  • Provide input for preventive maintenance reviews and machine reliability improvements
  • Collaborate with management, team members, and outside vendors
  • Perform all duties safely and professionally

Level-Based Technical Expectations
Level I – Foundational Industrial Electrician
  • Minimum 3 years verified industrial electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with automated equipment
  • Understanding of conveyors, automation, and machine mechanics
  • Basic PLC and CNC familiarity
  • Must meet state electrical requirements

Level II – Advanced Electrician
  • Minimum 5 years verified industrial electrical experience (3+ years considered with strong proficiency)
  • Troubleshoot PLC communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet)
  • Diagnose CNC control systems
  • Install and troubleshoot light curtains and machine safety systems
  • Perform robotics functions (homing, pendant navigation, editing touch points, save/restore programs)
  • Support pyrometry processes and furnace operations
  • Train and mentor junior electricians

Level III – Senior / Expert Electrician
  • 8+ years verified industrial electrical experience preferred (6+ considered with full proficiency)
  • Advanced PLC troubleshooting including ladder logic review (Allen Bradley & Siemens)
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, ASI Bus networks
  • Complete robot recovery procedures (Fanuc experience preferred)
  • Install and program laser distance sensors
  • Perform predictive maintenance using infrared, ultrasonic, and vibration analysis tools
  • Lead complex troubleshooting and mentor maintenance team members
  • Journeyman certification preferred

What We’re Looking For (All Levels)
  • Strong troubleshooting ability in automated manufacturing environments
  • Experience with robotics, CNC systems, automation, and mechanical functionality
  • Up-to-date technical training on modern equipment
  • Must have own tools (excluding specialty tools)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in moderate to high noise manufacturing environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Journeyman certification (Level III preferred)
  • German and/or Spanish language skills
