Job Summary-

This role creates and maintains data pipelines to move data from one location to another. It will also clean and label data for use by other programs and analytics

Essential Functions-

Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows within Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, Dataflows Gen2). Support the migration and organization of data assets within Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses and Warehouses to ensure a reliable, scalable data foundation.

Integrate and extract data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and other business source systems. Translate business data requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with the Lead Data Engineer and analytics team members.

Write and maintain SQL queries and supporting data models for data transformation, reporting, and ad hoc analysis. Help ensure that analytics and business intelligence needs are served by well-structured, documented data models.

Monitor data quality, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and resolve data discrepancies to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data flowing through the organization's systems.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to documentation, coding standards, and version control practices (Git/GitHub). Apply and develop data engineering best practices under the mentorship of the Lead Data Engineer.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-

Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including components such as Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Dataflows Gen2; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.

Foundational understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM data structures or experience with CRM data concepts and integration patterns.

Proficiency in SQL for querying, filtering, transforming, and modeling data across relational systems.

Basic programming skills in Python or another scripting language applicable to data engineering workflows.

Understanding of core data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT pipeline design, data modeling, and relational database architecture.

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks both independently and as part of a team.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical business teams; exposure to Snowflake, SAP, or Qlik is a plus.

Education and Experience-

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related technical field required.
