Summer Help

Need a job this summer? Something that pays well and works around sports, appointments, and vacations? Come work for Jonti-Craft this summer! Our summer help positions are varied and primarily are production positions. Examples include builders and shipping positions. We offer paid training for the positions and no experience is necessary! Summer positions are available from May through August.

1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm

2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am

When on our overtime schedule 1st shift starts at 6am and 2nd shift ends at 1am.

Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language for safety purposes in an understandable manner.

Basic knowledge of Windows, Excel, and Word. Ability to operate a handheld PC. May be required to work with or train new employees in the use of a handheld pc.

Working Conditions

Our production environment is typical for wood manufacturing and includes a variety of environmental elements including loud noise, dust and aromas. While this is an indoor operation, temperatures will vary with the outdoor temperature and some areas of the shop may be hot or cold. Worker may be subject to vibration. Worker is subject to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles and/or heat.

Physical Requirements

Production positions are physically demanding and may be strenuous. They are standing positions and include frequent walking, lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds. There are a lot of body movements, including extending arms, grasping with hands and flexing of wrists. There may be a lot of bending and twisting. Each position requires ongoing rotations of movements and workers must have the physicality to perform the essential functions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
