JNDs, or Just Noticeable Differences, refer to the smallest change in a sensory stimulus that can be detected by a person at least 50% of the time. This concept is widely used in psychology, neuroscience, and marketing to measure perception thresholds. Understanding JNDs helps researchers and professionals determine how sensitive people are to changes in things like sound, light, or product features. For example, in marketing, knowing the JND can help companies decide how much to change a product's price or packaging before consumers notice.
