Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Application Engineer to join our US team. This role serves as a technical bridge for our advanced SEM metrology systems, working directly with major semiconductor manufacturers. You will not only support existing installations but also demonstrate our latest technologies to solve the customer's most critical R&D and production challenges.
We offer a comprehensive training program, including 6+ months of on-site mentorship by senior engineers and periodic technical training at our Headquarters in Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Solutions: Collaborate with customers to identify process control challenges and propose technical solutions using our SEM metrology tools. Demonstration & Optimization: Demonstrate the capabilities of the latest tool functions and optimize measurement recipes for various semiconductor processes (R&D to HVM). Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to verify tool performance and process stability, reporting findings to customers and internal teams. Reporting & Communication: Conduct regular progress review meetings with customers and report field technical status to Headquarters. Prepare and deliver professional presentations to summarize evaluation results and project milestones. Training: Conduct technical training for customers on tool operation, recipe creation, and data interpretation. Troubleshooting: Primary focus on software/application troubleshooting. (Ability to assist with hardware diagnosis is a plus).
Qualifications

Industry Experience: Experience in semiconductor front-end equipment or manufacturing processes. Legal: Valid work authorization in the United States.
[Preferred / Nice to Have]
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of semiconductor device fabrication, metrology concepts, and image processing. Operational Discipline: Meticulous attention to detail and a cautious approach to operating equipment and handling data. Data Analysis Skills: Experience with data analytics tools such as Excel, Spotfire, JMP, or R for handling high-volume metrology data. Layout Data Skills: Experience handling design layout data formats such as GDS or OASIS. Travel
