Regional MDS Coordinator

Covenant Health is seeking an experiencedRegional MDS Coordinatorto support our Ministries in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Maine.

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted Massachusetts RN or LPN license ideal candidate would hold a compact license
  • Minimum of 3 years of MDS experience in a skilled nursing facility
  • Strong working knowledge of RAI, MDS 3.0, Medicare PPS, PDPM, OBRA, and care planning requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide MDS coverage and support to skilled nursing facilities as needed
  • Complete and review MDS assessments for accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
  • Assist centers with Medicare PPS and PDPM processes
  • Support interdisciplinary care plan development
  • Conduct MDS audits and identify opportunities for reimbursement optimization
  • Mentor and educate facility MDS staff and nursing leadership
  • Help facilities maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
