Why This Role Matters:


We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Identity Engineer to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. In this role, you will assist in designing, implementing, and supporting identity lifecycle processes, access control solutions, and governance tools. You'll gain hands-on experience with modern IAM platforms and support initiatives that secure and streamline user access across the organization.
How You'll Contribute

  • Assist in provisioning, deprovisioning, and access certification processes
  • Help manage identity lifecycle events such as onboarding, offboarding, and role changes
  • Support integrations between IAM systems and enterprise applications
  • Maintain directory services (e.g., Active Directory, Entra, LDAP)
  • Troubleshoot access issues and identity-related service tickets
  • Assist in implementing role-based access controls (RBAC), SSO, MFA, and passwordless technologies
  • Collaborate with IT, HR, Security and business teams to ensure compliance with identity policies
  • Contribute to documentation of IAM processes and technical standards
  • Participate in audits, access certifications, and policy enforcement initiatives


What We're Looking For:


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field - or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of identity and access management principles
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, or cloud identity providers
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a security-focused role


Preferred:

  • Internship or coursework related to IAM, cybersecurity, or IT Operations
  • Exposure to IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint, Okta, Ping, CyberArk, Delinea, etc.)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python, JSON, Terraform)

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $130,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Employees who meet benefit eligibility guidelines and work 30 hours or more weekly, have the ability to enroll in Group 1001's benefits package.
