Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Intern to join our team for the 2027 tax season (January/February through April). This is a paid internship with flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments, offering both part-time and full-time opportunities. Please note that this position is fully in-office and will require on-site attendance at our Cincinnati office location.
In addition, we encourage selected candidates to begin working with our team in Summer 2026 and complete their tax internship during the 2027 tax season. This early start provides valuable training, exposure to our systems and processes, and the opportunity to assist with various projects ahead of the busy tax season. Summer hours are highly flexible, typically ranging from 10–20 hours per week.

What You’ll Do
Tax Preparation & Support
  • Assist in preparing individual income tax returns (Form 1040)
  • Prepare extensions and estimated tax payment vouchers
  • Organize and review client documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Support the tax return process from intake through final delivery

Learning & Development
  • Shadow tax professionals at various levels to gain real-world experience
  • Learn the full lifecycle of tax return preparation and client service
  • Develop proficiency in tax and accounting software systems
  • Gain exposure to retirement and wealth planning concepts as they relate to tax reporting

Team Support
  • Assist administrative and tax teams with various operational tasks
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables
  • Adhere to firm quality control and compliance standards
  • Contribute to special projects and team initiatives as needed

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Intention to pursue CPA certification preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
