Job description

Forward Madison FC and Rally Madison FC are looking for an industry-experienced marketer to develop the organization's marketing structure, strategy, and execution, with a focus on building the brand and increasing revenue through ticket and corporate sponsorship sales. This role will be at the forefront of pushing brand expectations and creating lifelong memories for fans by leading marketing functions.
General Club Marketing Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization's marketing efforts with a focus on driving revenue from season, group, and single game tickets, supporting corporate partnership revenue, and brand building for both Forward Madison and Rally Madison FC.
  • Oversee the club's marketing department, including communications, graphic design and photo/video staff.
  • Lead the talent development of the marketing team of 5 people, including full-time staff and interns.
  • Oversee social media strategy and lead execution of campaigns and content to grow followers, drive fan engagement, and increase customer conversion.
  • Lead annual marketing plan, including but not limited to paid advertising, email marketing, paid social media, and news coverage. Understand, review, and measure all campaigns against revenue-focused KPIs.
  • Translate fan, audience, and performance data into optimizations that improve reach, engagement, fan growth, and revenue
  • Analyze and report performance metrics to club leadership and adjust strategies according to club goals and KPIs.
  • Work directly with media partners for value-add opportunities and execution support.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for club marketing materials used by other departments to maintain a consistent brand image and increase efficiency.
  • Lead Forward Madison FC's, Rally Madison FC's, and Breese Stevens Field's relationships with local and national news outlets to build brand awareness of all brands.

Club Revenue Support Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Ticket Sales department to design, plan, and execute ticket-focused marketing campaigns, including but not limited to season tickets, mini plans, and group offerings.
  • Work with the General Manager and ticket team to plan and execute all theme nights with emphasis on concepts that drive ticket sales and add to the excitement of match day.
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships department in ideation and execution of sponsored opportunities designed to drive sponsorship revenue and enhance fan engagement.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience at marketing experiential products, preferably in sports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sport Management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic marketing plans that deliver measurable growth in line with organizational goals.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Ads/Ad Manager, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and SEO/SEM tools.
  • Skilled in paid media strategy, campaign optimization, and audience segmentation.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable marketing tactics.
  • The role must be available to work all home and away Forward Madison FC and Rally Madison FC matches, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong cross-functional project management abilities and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and ticketing systems preferred.
  • Passion for sports, live events, and creating meaningful connections between teams, fans, and the community.
