About the Role
Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America is currently seeking a Process Engineer - Quality. This role would be based in our manufacturing facility in Neenah, WI.
We're looking for people who embody our values, aren't afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. We're always looking for ways to improve our products and ourselves. If this is you, we'd love to talk.
What You Will Do
  • Lead our overall site master plan to reduce waste:
    • Partner with our department leadership teams to develop action plans to identify and eliminate causes of waste in our manufacturing process
    • Own the overall site waste result
  • Manage our finished product holds including:
    • Disposition plans for any product on hold product
    • Implement actions to eliminate causes and prevent recurrences of holds
  • Manage customer complaints for our site:
    • Partner with our department leadership teams to develop action plans to eliminate root causes of customer complaints from their areas
  • Own the facility Plain Manufacturing Software System for the site including:
    • Reviewing and continuously improving the operator quality checklists and changeover checklists
    • Managing any changes to product specifications
    • Adding any new manufacturing materials into the system
  • Lead our Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification program for the site including:
    • Being the site lead SQF practitioner
    • Leading the site through annual SQF audits
    • Develop and implement action plans to improve any gaps versus the SQF standard
  • Collaborate with our department leadership teams and operators to improve centerlines and CILs, aimed at improving waste, quality defects, and machine efficiency.
  • Develop and execute qualification plans for new equipment, new products, or product changes.
  • Work with the Initiatives Manager and Quality Team to identify and implement cost savings projects.
  • Lead small projects across the converting manufacturing site related to new equipment or new processes.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field, a related field, or quality systems, or have equivalent experience
  • One or more years' experience in a technical role in a manufacturing environment. Internship or Co-op could be substituted for experience requirement. Paper manufacturing or converting is preferred but not required.
