We are looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join a growing financial services organization. Responsibilities:
• Contribute to routine accounting operations by helping maintain accurate financial records and supporting the broader accounting team.
• Process accounts payable transactions with close attention to timeliness, coding accuracy, and supporting documentation.
• Track and update fixed asset information to ensure records remain complete and aligned with accounting standards.
• Prepare reconciliations for general ledger accounts and investigate variances to support accurate reporting.
• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including journal entry support and account analysis as needed.
• Help manage cash and bank reconciliations to confirm balances and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Provide assistance with additional accounting assignments, reporting needs, and special projects across the department.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior internship or hands-on exposure to accounting functions is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of general accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger activity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data review, analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting is beneficial.
• Experience with PeopleSoft or Oracle PeopleSoft is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and a dependable work ethic.
• Demonstrated interest in learning, taking initiative, and developing within an accounting career path.
