Job description

The LED Repair Technician will serve as the primary repair specialist for LED systems, with a mandatory focus on INFiLED DB 2.6 LED tiles. This role also supports repairs across Audio, Video, and Lighting departments. Responsibilities include component-level repairs, installation and calibration of LED screens, troubleshooting, and managing vendor coordination for RMAs and warranties. The position is expected to work out of our Linwood, Pa. office 5 days a week.

Position Accountabilities and Expectations:

LED and General repair will be the primary focus of this role and include the following accountabilities:

  • Diagnose, test, and repair INFiLED DB 2.6 LED panels and related components following electrical repair procedures.
  • Precisely solder small electronic components and LED pixels onto damaged modules to restore functionality.
  • Conduct quality control checks on repaired modules to ensure optimal performance.
  • Release restored modules back into service and return them to the appropriate department.
  • Handle repairs for Audio, Video, and Lighting equipment.
  • Maintain electrical systems and equipment to ensure effective operation of systems and services.
  • Repair test equipment and electronic components as needed.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support:

  • Quickly identify problems and provide effective solutions to ensure equipment operates properly.
  • Maintain accurate repair logs, inventory of parts, and service records.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams regarding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

Inventory & Tools Management:

  • Manage stock of LED module repair tools and maintain inventory of repair parts.
  • Ensure technicians have the necessary equipment and supplies for efficient repairs.

Training & Development and Vendor Coordination:

  • Train service technicians and interns on LED module repair procedures to maintain high standards of repair quality.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to improve work efficiency and skills.
  • Manage RMAs and warranty claims with manufacturers and vendors.
  • Ensure timely turnaround for repairs and replacements.

What you will bring:

  • Valid soldering and repair experience on PCB boards, computer electronics, and microchips.
  • Must have a
  • 1 year of LED repair experience (component-level), with a preferred 2+ years of repair experience within the AV/LED industry.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with RMA processes and vendor coordination.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with leading LED brands (INFiLED, Absen, ROE, Chauvet, Unilumen, Brompton, Novastar, Megapixel).
  • Certifications in electronics or related fields are preferred.
  • Experience in live event production or AV integration a plus.
  • Precision soldering and circuit board repair.
  • Electrical diagnostics and component-level troubleshooting
