About Team

The Parametric RFP Team is responsible for managing and responding to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence requests across all Parametric strategies. The team combines strong product knowledge, close collaboration with SMEs, and technology-enabled workflows to deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient client responses. The team is comprised of innovative and collaborative individuals located in Boston, NYC, and Minneapolis.

About the role

The Senior Request for Proposal (RFP) Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the Institutional and Wealth Management distribution channels by responding to recurring and ad hoc due diligence requests with a particular focus on firm and strategy level information. The Investment Proposals team serves as the hub through which information is compiled and disseminated to both internal and external clients. As an experienced member of the team, the Senior RFP Specialist will partner with more junior colleagues on complex requests and act as a knowledge resource. The position requires collaboration with multiple teams so we are seeking an individual with high initiative that has demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. The candidate must be detail oriented, have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Management and completion of Requests for Proposals/Information (RFP/RFI) and similar sales due diligence requests, including managing deadlines, compiling information from multiple internal sources, and making sure content complies with Parametric's brand and guidelines with limited direction.
  • Complete quarterly, monthly and ad hoc due diligence requests with minimal guidance from management.
  • Master the completion of highly complex questionnaires that may have minimal to no standard content written
  • Work in collaboration with RFP Specialists/interns as a training/leadership opportunity
  • Guide and peer review the work of others on RFPs and ad hoc DDQs
  • Train, coach and educate new staff members on processes and systems with the potential to progress to supervision of summer intern.
  • Embrace opportunities for cross-functional leadership through strategic projects such as knowledge specialist or AI catalyst
  • Use AI and automation tools to enhance RFP response development, including initial drafting, content reuse, and quality checks, while ensuring alignment with firm standards and SME input
  • Explore and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance RFP workflow processes, drive efficiencies, and support continuous improvement
  • Lead projects/initiatives with limited direction; take initiative in identifying and implementing efficiencies/make enhancements to existing processes, sharing ideas with management
  • Assist Supervisor with workload distribution of the team, monitor and assign deliverables
  • Assist RFP Supervisor with the assignment of quarterly/monthly deliverables (Skills Matrix), keeping in mind the skill level of the team and areas for growth
  • Assist Content Management with construction of narratives for consultant/third-party databases
  • Exhibit superior project management skills: managing deadlines, keeping all stakeholders informed, anticipating roadblocks, preparing back-up plans, etc.
  • Help ensure accuracy within the RFP response database (Loopio).
  • Deepen working knowledge of the firm's structure, key personnel, organizational policies and procedures, and investment/product knowledge.
  • Deepen relationships with internal subject matter experts, including product management, sales, client relations, and investment professionals, to facilitate collaboration across teams to understand client needs to create customized RFP responses that highlight the firm's strategic and competitive advantage.
  • Interact with compliance/legal to review and obtain approvals of materials.
  • Partner with Data Team to ensure the quantitative information is accurately providing the response needed for the deliverable
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a back-up for the Supervisor, leading team meetings and monitoring workload of the team, as needed.
  • Assume other responsibilities as required.

Job requirements

  • Interest in financial services and a desire to learn more and/or pursue a career in the industry
  • 4-year degree or equivalent, preferably in a related discipline such as business, finance, or economics.
  • 3-5 years of related industry experience and 2-3 years of proposal writing experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to handle a heavy, deadline-oriented workload.
  • Superior project management abilities.
  • Ability to handle complex or escalation items from specialists/associates and other departments with very minimal direction.
  • Ability to utilize logic, resources, and intuition to problem solve/escalate independently while assisting Specialists to do the same
  • Desire to learn more and dig deeper to understand the "whys" behind processes and ask follow up questions.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to improve team processes to reduce risk and improve efficiencies.
  • Ability to successfully navigate simultaneous multi-level projects and tasks in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel desired and additional quantitative skills preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated willingness to adopt and use AI-enabled tools to support RFP workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve deliverable quality.

Salary range for the position: $70,000 - 140,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
