Position Summary

The Employee Relations Specialist will support the Human Resources team by assisting with workplace concerns, promoting a positive environment, and ensuring compliance with policies and employment laws. This entry-level role provides the opportunity to gain hands-on HR experience while supporting both employees and leaders across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the intake, documentation, and tracking of employee relations issues and complaints.
  • Support investigations into employee concerns such as policy violations, harassment, discrimination, and performance issues.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case files, reports, and documentation.
  • Help ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and HR best practices.
  • Partner with HR and operations leaders to recommend appropriate actions or resolutions.
  • Assist in the creation and communication of policies, procedures, and training related to workplace conduct.
  • Support ER data reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current on employment law updates and ER best practices.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Title VII) a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience a bonus.
  • Internship or coursework related to HR or employee relations is a plus.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer, as well as occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally in support of office and equipment needs.
