Job description
The faculty member shall be responsible for the following: teaching assigned class; helping students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining a thorough and up-to-date knowledge in the teaching field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology in the performance of job duties; maintaining standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position; assisting with curriculum development and review; assuming other responsibilities as assigned by the area Program Director; fulfilling other duties and responsibilities of a faculty member as outlined in the college faculty handbook.
Teaching assignment may include day or evening classes. Internship sites will be visited at least once per semester. This position is grant-funded and contingent on continuing grant funding. - Coordinate and supervise CRSS/CPRS interns.
- Teach Internship Practicum class.
- Identify new internship sites and maintain agreements with existing internship sites.
- Assist with intern events, evaluations, group and individual supervision and trainings.
- Master's degree in behavior health or closely related field
- Experience in behavioral health, recovery support, substance use disorders, mental health and/or co-occurring disorders
- Experience with teaching and mentoring adult student populations
- Demonstrated experience and skill with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, solve problems and work as a member of a team
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university
- ICB credential
- 3 + years experience in behavioral health, recovery support, substance use disorders, mental health and/or co-occurring disorders
- Monday through Friday evening and/or Saturday during scheduled class hours and working other times as needed to supervise internships.
- This position is full-time, grant funded.
