Job description

To oversee and direct the functions of the REL Project and Portfolio Management team, including strategic project and portfolio management, process improvement, change management and strategic planning. Implement system and process improvement efforts and maximize efficiencies through automation of processes to effectively improve front-line team member and membership/market needs. Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to influence key decisions by executive leadership. Manage daily activities of professional employees and/or managers. Support executive management in developing and executing strategic plans.

  • Oversee and lead efforts to identify, develop and implement innovative strategic initiatives for systems and process improvement efforts to maximize operational efficiency
  • Monitor key performance indicators, determine gaps in performance metrics, and recommend/execute change management techniques for efficiency/quality improvements
  • Oversee benchmarking and trend analysis to drive continuous process improvement through change management, increase front-line team member and member experience quality, and maintain high operational efficiency
  • Oversee project management priorities, portfolio, and leverage capacity planning models; ensure effective management of projects from inception through implementation
  • Collaborate with other business units within Real Estate Lending, Lending and ETS (IT), support areas, and stakeholders (e.g. Operational Risk, Office of General Counsel, Compliance, and Procurement) to ensure compliance and manage risk exposure
  • Develop and oversee team strategy, establish priorities, and set goals; evaluate and implement standards to ensure alignment with department/organizational objectives
  • Manage and direct operations to ensure targets, service level agreements, and corporate objectives are met
  • Identify and resolve operational and performance gaps and obstacles; implement changes and improvements
  • Provide broad level leadership for large strategic programs and/or projects
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies and initiatives; maintain existing strategies
  • Foster a partnership approach of working with other teams across the organization and with key business stakeholders
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding Project & Portfolio Management functions, systems, policies and/or procedures

  • Monitor and analyze changes to applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations; develop action plans for implementation/dissemination
  • Monitor work environment and direct allocation of resources to ensure adequate staffing to meet business unit needs
  • Serve as change management lead for Real Estate Lending; apply change management principles and knowledge to develop strategies including organizational assessments, stakeholder analysis and change roadmaps and plans
  • Stay abreast of business environment, financial services, and associated trends to ensure competitive business conditions and newest developments are incorporated
  • Perform other duties as assigned
