ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the IBW Manager, this position is accountable for operations related to packaging, transferring, quality control, regulatory reporting, safety, and cleaning at Innovation Brew Works.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):

Ensures that IBW is incompliance with all regulations related to the beer production facility.

Maintains accurate beer production and distribution records related to IBW.

Assists IBW manager in determining beer production schedule.

Responsible for ensuring that beer is packaged into kegs, bottles and cans

Responsible for transferring beer from tank to tank

Ensure that chemicals are handled following all OSHA regulations

Responsible to mill grain and heating the water for brew day. Preparing for brew day.

Operating Clean In Place and Sanitize In Place standards.

Represents IBW at industry events, conferences, meetings, and festivals.

Orders, receives, and ensures the proper storage of all goods and supplies required for timely beer production.

Maintains an accurate monthly inventory for materials related to the production and packaging of beer.

Ensure all equipment within the brewery is maintained, clean, safe, and in an operational, service-ready condition.

Alerts IBW Manager of any operational or major equipment problems in a timely manner.

Continuously coaches and trains beer production crew members to ensure all Brew Pub and Foundation standards are being followed in regard to beer production, beer quality, sanitation, uniform policy, health and OSHA regulations.

Collaborate with Campus organizations to support and promote the brewing education program and other initiatives as directed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to adhere to a regular work schedule, which may include evenings and weekends.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Collaborate with IBW Manager in special event planning

Holds formal and informal in-service meetings with brew pub service staff to ensure a high level of staff brewing knowledge as it relates to the beer served at the brew pub.

Receives feedback from customers and to make changes/improvements as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May have to supervise student crew members. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

1 year formal/informal internship, or hands-on work at a brewery under the supervision of a Brewmaster, or similar experience

Significant working knowledge of the rules and regulations surrounding beer production and sales.

Advanced working knowledge of beer production and cleaning processes (CIP).

Ability to supervise employees

ServSsafe Manager certification or equivalent is required and must be maintained throughout employment.

ServeSafe alcohol certification or equivalent is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
