Job description

Lead Platform Architect

Generating requirements, together with other architects, engineers, application team(s) and user(s), to determine that all of the high-level requirements have been met. Role.

  • Generating products such as TADs, technical documents, logical flows, and models to keep the user(s), architects and the engineers constantly up to date and in agreement on the application, system or platform to be provided as it is evolving.
  • Ensuring that all architectural products and products with architectural input are maintained in the most current state and never allowed to become obsolete.
  • Resolve internet architectural and operational problems impacting infrastructure and product availability and performance globally.
  • Research and evaluate new technology for possible deployment in MasterCard's internet infrastructure.
  • Assume lead and total accountability for ongoing regional projects as assigned; including responsibility for planning; time and cost control; resource utilization and implementation.
  • Implement, manage and support internet infrastructure components while leveraging current standards and best practices.
  • Perform problem diagnosis; performance tuning; capacity planning and configuration management for MasterCard internet components.
  • Assure system stability and future compatibility by monitoring production execution of all relevant systems.

About You

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Engineering, or related and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or as an Enterprise Architect, Platform Architect, Solution Architect, System Administrator, DB Administrator, or related.

Qualifying experience must include at least 8 years of experience with each of the following: Enterprise Architecture, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Network as a Service (NaaS), Software as Service (SaaS), Load Balancers, Middleware Infrastructure, Middleware Infrastructure Migration and Support, Application Servers, Root Cause Analysis, Technical Architecture; BMC Remedy, JIRA, Linux, LDAP, Active Directory, J Boss, Tomcat, IBM Security Access Manager, HP Quality Center, Apache; TCP/IP protocol with IPV6; Firewall experience: Checkpoint, Palo Alto; VMware NSX-T platform; Security and encryption technologies including IPSEC & GRE tunnels on routers and firewalls; Scripting tools: GIT, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
