Job description

At LUX Infusion (BioMatrix), we're reimagining infusion care as something more human, more supportive, and more connected. Our Pharmacy Operations team sits at the center of that mission - ensuring patients receive timely, safe, and seamless care while supporting clinicians and partners behind the scenes.

We're excited to welcome a Summer 2026 Pharmacy Operations Intern as part of our growing pipeline of emerging healthcare professionals. This internship is designed for someone who is curious, relationshiporiented, and eager to learn how pharmacy operations directly impact patient outcomes.

Why This Internship Matters

Pharmacy operations play a critical role in keeping infusion care running smoothly - from intake through ongoing therapy. As an intern, you'll gain realworld exposure to how operational excellence supports patient safety, continuity of care, and clinician effectiveness.

In this internship, you'll contribute to work that:

  • Supports patients throughout complex infusion and specialty therapy journeys
  • Helps pharmacy and operations teams deliver care efficiently and compliantly
  • Strengthens workflows that enable clinicians to focus on patient care
  • Builds insight into how crossfunctional healthcare teams collaborate

Everything you'll experience ties back to real patients - and the systems that support them.

What You'll Do

During this internship, you will:

  • Observe and learn daytoday pharmacy operations, including infusion workflows and patient support processes
  • Shadow Pharmacy Operations team members to gain exposure to intake coordination, documentation, and operational decisionmaking
  • Assist with operational tasks such as data entry, reporting, workflow tracking, and documentation
  • Participate in crossfunctional meetings with pharmacy operations, clinical, and support teams
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying challenges and helping develop practical solutions
  • Contribute to analytics, reporting, and special projects under the guidance of Pharmacy Operations leadership
  • Assist with preparing presentations, internal communications, training materials, and process documentation
  • Document insights and learnings from shadowing and projects to support future training and operational enhancements
  • Engage in intern cohort activities and professional development sessions

You'll be encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and learn how operational work translates into better patient care.

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you bring:

  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn in a fastpaced healthcare environment
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in relationshipbuilding
  • Organization and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfort with technology and learning new systems
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute wherever needed

Required Qualifications

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Program and entering or actively completing your Junior or Senior professional year of pharmacy school
    • Active Pharmacist Intern License in good standing (or ability to obtain prior to start date, if applicable by state)
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service, healthcare, pharmacy, or patient-facing experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated interest in specialty pharmacy, infusion services, healthcare operations, or patient care environments
    • Ability to learn quickly, adapt in a fast-paced setting, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Preferred

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, reporting tools, or analytics (training provided)
  • Prior exposure to healthcare, pharmacy, or operations environments

You don't need to have everything figured out - we're looking for interns who are eager to learn, engaged, and ready to grow.
