Mental Edge Counseling, LLC is an outpatient mental health office based in Dover, DE. We provide services to include individual, family, child and adolescent, group, and marriage counseling, medication management, and a (newly added) Higher Level of Care program through PBH. Mental Edge Counseling, LLC has developed a reputation as an established and trusted outpatient mental health office. As a Mental Edge Counseling TSF Outpatient Clinician, you will be responsible for:

Providing intensive behavioral health services in the community. TSF helps coordinate Functional Assessments of Behavior and Behavior Intervention Plan that address the client’s needs to help the client become more successful. Some essential job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing on-going clinical assessment and treatment for children and families.
  • Providing services to adolescents diagnosed with sleep disorders, ADHD, behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, addiction, and more.
  • Securing and maintaining confidential documents, filing client care plans, and maintaining weekly and monthly progress notes.
  • Provide on-going consultation with professional staff such as care manager (DSCYF), LSCW, and LPCMH.
  • Meeting with a licensed supervisor for weekly supervision.
  • The ability to work a weekly rotating 24-hour on-call schedule and respond after business hours if necessary.

Requirements:
  • Possession of a bachelor’s degree or higher in social work and/or psychology or related field
  • Ability to work a caseload in Sussex County, DE
  • Ability to commute to the Mental Edge Counseling office located in Dover, DE for scheduled supervision and meetings
  • Available in the early afternoon/ evening (eg Noon to 8:30 pm)
  • Must have own reliable transportation, and valid driver’s license, auto registration and auto insurance
  • Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Sustained physical exertion may be required during session
  • Have 6 months experience in working with children youth and family

Conditional Hiring Events:

  • Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. Mental Edge Counseling, LLC may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
  • DSCYF Child Abuse Registry check: Mental Edge Counseling, LLC will require the applicant to obtain a successful child abuse registry check.
  • Mental Edge Counseling, LLC will require the applicant to obtain a seven-year driving history from the Division of Motor Vehicle.
