Job description

Shopbop is looking for a detail-orientated and analytical Email & App Associate to support and further develop the email and push notification program. This role is critical to helping Shopbop drive revenue growth and deliver a best-in-class customer marketing experience. The Email & App Associate will provide technical and creative expertise to enhance customer experiences by coding, building, and testing communications while developing content strategy for lifecycle marketing campaigns. This position develop and implement marketing journeys, manage creative briefs, and serve as the primary approver for content deliverables while providing ongoing support of our email marketing systems and automation platforms. The Email & App Associate will partner with Tech teams to provide recommendations for marketing cloud platform optimization and collaborate with cross-functional partners including creative teams, copywriters, and designers to execute compelling customer communications. The successful candidate will be highly organized, creatively minded, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
Daily Email & Push Notification Coding
- Code, build and test email campaigns and push notifications
- Set up, test, QA and launch dynamic content
- Monitor active campaigns daily and quickly troubleshoot to resolve errors
- Design emails and fix issues utilizing HTML/CSS and marketing cloud developer tools
- Refresh and modernize existing email templates on an ad-hoc basis
- Manage calendar across multiple campaigns to ensure on-time delivery, progression of messaging, etc.
- Execute A/B tests to continuously improve performance across email and push notifications
- Serve as SFMC technical expert to optimize targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities
- Partner with the team to identify opportunities and new ideas for testing, personalizing, or launching new lifecycle campaigns to increase customer engagement and spend
- Collaborate with technical consultants in the development and integration of new applications
Lifecycle Campaign Content Management
- Manage creative briefs for all lifecycle campaigns across channels (email, push, SMS)
- Serve as primary approver on all content deliverables, working with cross-functional partners to execute intended strategy and communicate revisions
- Maintain database of all content and copy related to Lifecycle Marketing campaigns
- Execute monthly calendar planning across owned Lifecycle Channels
Behavioral Triggers and Automations
- Create multi-touch point lifecycle marketing campaigns and journeys
- Modify automations to improve personalization and further business needs
- Optimize automated segments
Email Database Management
- Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements
- Manage email database, including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc
- Work with Data Engineers and vendors to ensure data synchronization with other related databases
- Work with Tech and Data Engineers to ensure data synchronization between internal systems and Salesforce
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience in a marketing role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 1+ years of designing, building, and launching successful email engagement programs
- Experience using email platforms and editing HTML
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce
- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in an online fashion setting or similar field
- Strong interest in and familiarity with fashion
- Experience with SMS marketing
- Experience with Push Notification marketing
- Experience using data visualization tools
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS coding, as well as responsive web design on both desktop and mobile platforms
- Knowledge of database systems and SQL
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Workfront)
- Experience building and formatting web pages and email templates
- Experience with e-commerce, marketing, membership/loyalty, A/B testing, revenue management techniques
- Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
- Experience working with Third Party Partner tools and relationships
- Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices
- Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
