Federal Contracts Company is dedicated to producing quality contracts between manufacturers and the federal government, creating trusting relationships while being fair and profitable. We succeed by thorough follow-up, marketing, and producing lasting business partners. We are looking for a part-time Business Intern to support our rapidly growing company!

The preferred candidate will be seeking broad-based businessexperience. We have a lot of opportunities available for real-world experiencebased upon your classroom learning.

Employment Status:

Part-time

Schedule:

Varied based on school schedule, approximately 20 hours/week

Salary:

$15.00/hour

Responsibilities:
  • Phone system management- answering and routing phone calls, taking appropriate messages, helping customers when possible.
  • Complex file system management, both paper and digital.
  • Analyze Excel-based data and prepare reports
  • Assist in the Finance, Contracts, and Sales departments as needed
  • Special projects in marketing, finance, or sales as needed and based upon your skill set.
  • Learn and understand internal systems and processes, be prepared to make suggestions for improvement.
  • Conduct a variety of general administrative tasks as needed to support business operations.
  • Additional duties and opportunities for learning will be presented as you progress.
Qualifications:
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. (Advanced Excel knowledge is a plus.)
  • Excellent communication skills- both written and oral
  • A team-player attitude- this position will offer you opportunities to learn many different aspects of a small business. You should be prepared with a willingness to try new things and jump in to help when and where you're needed- even if it's outside your job description.
