Job description

The Yellowjacket team prioritizes our employees' safety and development while providing unparalleled expertise with superior quality service to our customers. We are currently seeking a Reverse Unit Operator to join our growing team in Midland.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The primary duty of the Reverse Unit Operator I is to oversee and operate equipment on a rig, manage crew members, maintain productivity standards, and work closely with customer representatives to provide safe, dependable, and quality service.
  • Operating the assigned rig, reverse unit, swivel, and other equipment in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions as requested or designated by the customers
  • Maintaining regular contact and communication with customers to resolve concerns, issues, and complaints
  • Ensuring that quality products and services are provided to the customers including maintaining productivity standards for all rig functions, following safety procedures for a safe working environment, and adhering to all applicable governmental regulations for compliance
  • Ensuring efficient maintenance of assigned rig and equipment
  • Tracking and keeping up with pipe tally, drilling depths, and advise customer and rig crew with technical well expertise
  • Establish and maintain a positive work environment for the rig crew, including training and coaching them in performing their assigned duties
  • Report all incidents as per the standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Five (5) years of experience in rig operation or closely related function
  • Knowledge and experience in oilfield well servicing is required
  • Must have a valid state issued driver's license, CDL, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to perform manual labor required to operate well servicing equipment
  • Competent communication, people, and leadership skills
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of MS
