Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Recruiting Support

Assists with coordination and scheduling of candidate interviews and pre-employment requirements.

Supports maintenance of applicant tracking software and job posting activities.

Prepares offer letters, rejection correspondence, and candidate communications under HR Manager direction.

Assists with coordination of candidate travel arrangements and relocation activities.

Supports the AAP/EEO compliance tracking and documentation process.

Compensation & HR Data

Assists with compensation data gathering and market survey participation.

Supports annual merit increase process through data compilation and spreadsheet management.

Helps maintain and update organizational charts and the company phone directory.

Assists with government reporting (EEO-1, VETS 4212) data collection and preparation.

HR Operations & Administration

Supports HR team members with HRIS data entry, audits, and system coordination.

Assists with updating and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and labor law postings.

Supports administration of employee recognition programs and communications.

Supports with editing and coordination of the quarterly company newsletter and employee birthday calendar.

Assists with various HR projects and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Intern must be enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration or related degree program. Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and able to exercise sound judgment. Strong organizational skills, professional demeanor, and ability to handle confidential information with discretion required. Ability to work flexible hours when needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite required; experience with HRIS platforms a plus.
