Job description

Ammonia Refrigeration Service Technician
We're looking for an EXPERIENCED AMMONIA technician with at least 5 years full-time experience and CARO or CIRO certification would be a plus. No other candidates will be considered at this time.
Ammonia Technician Responsibilities:
  • Provide maintenance and repairs on industrial refrigeration/ammonia systems while providing superior customer service
  • Perform routine and emergency industrial refrigeration repair and maintenance services on Ammonia refrigeration equipment. This includes compressors and electrical troubleshooting of industrial refrigeration systems and control/alarm systems
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair ammonia industrial refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, electrical, and micro compressor control systems
  • Working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of ammonia refrigeration systems, and control alarm systems
  • Exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices, and surroundings
  • Ability to read and interpret ammonia refrigeration manuals, documents, and drawings
  • Ability to work unsupervised or with limited instruction
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive ammonia refrigeration experience
  • CARO or CIRO Certification, a plus
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
  • Physically capable of climbing ladders, high elevations, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Available to travel up to 25%
  • Available to be on call nights and weekend as required
  • Basic computer skills for documentation

Pay Range:
This job will pay a hourly rate ideally between $35 - $55 per hour depending on experience. This is an non-exempt position that is eligible for overtime.
