Le Boisé Vanier, a friendly private seniors' residence, is looking for someone to fill a full-time Food Assistance position. We offer group insurance, telemedicine, an employee assistance program, and more! POSITION DESCRIPTION: Schedule: Monday to Friday with one weekend out of two Salary: Starting at $16.90 per hour ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble plates of food Assist in ensuring resident and staff safety in the dinning room by enforcing compliance with health and safety standards Be required to participate in the serving of meals and/or light housework when required Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service Clean kitchen equipment Clean kitchen equipment after each use (pots, stove, mixers etc.) Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork Contribute to the teams efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dinning room(s) Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices Peel and cut vegetables for meals Perform other related duties Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts Wash dishes after each meal and store in appropriate places EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Good sense of interpersonal communication Good team player BENEFITS: Free parking Meals in the dining room at $4.50 Floating days off Social leave Vacation Social Club activities, gifts and substantial discounts Career Opportunity Welcome and integration Program A welcoming and tight-knit team!
