Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo Campus Services is looking for an Executive Chef 2 to join our team at one of our high profile account at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. Clark Atlanta University (CAU or Clark Atlanta) is a private Methodist historically black research university in Atlanta, Georgia. Clark Atlanta University is the first HBCU in the Southern United States. Founded September 19, 1865, as Atlanta University; consolidated with Clark College (1869) to form Clark Atlanta University in 1988. 

This is a somewhat complex operation featuring in excess of 2,000 residential dining meal plan participants.  Residential operation features a variety of just-in-time cooking formats. In addition to menu, safety, sanitation and purchasing responsibilities, individual will be expected to drive customized menu creativity, educational events, promotional and student engagement programming and on occassion support catering operations. Sodexo provides college campuses with food, nutrition, environmental, and facilities management solutions. What You'll Do
  • be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;
  • ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
  • have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
  • ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
  • have working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.
