TERRITORYSALES MANAGER - PAVEMENT EQUIPMENT

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required- Must have experience selling machinery / equipment (snowplows, tractors, sweepers, sewer trucks, pavers, etc.)
  • Preferred- Some experience selling to the municipal market (cities, states, counties)
  • Preferred- Some asphalt industry experience / background

From fabrication to final assembly,Stepp is a full manufacturing facility for asphalt maintenance equipment. Our equipment heats, stores, transports, and applies all types of asphaltic material for maintaining the roadways.

We are looking for aself-motivated individualtogenerate sales leads and sell theStepp Mfg., Kasi Infrared, and VSSMacropaverproduct linestoourmunicipalcustomerbasewithin your specified sales territory.Theseproduct linesincludea variety of tow-behind and truck-mounted asphaltand infraredequipmentused forsurfacing, repairing and maintaining roadways.

The specific territory for this listing will be theSoutheast Territory and will include the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia,and other surrounding states.

This territory comes set with established, high performing dealers. The new incumbent will be responsible for continuing to maintain these critical business relationships, as well as sourcing and setting up other new dealers in relevant territories.

Compensation will beannualbasepay withagraduation-based commissionstructure.

Starting wage to be negotiated based on candidate's work experience and qualifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Primarysalesfocuswill beon municipal customers such as State DOTs, County Highway Departments, City Street Departments, Toll Roads, etc.,witha minor focus on asphalt contractors
  • Establish a customer database and build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers
  • Travelwithin sales territory to meetwith prospects and customers, preferred location would be Central CA to be accessible to Hickman.
  • Conduct cold-calls and face-to-face meetings with customersdaily, supply them with sales literature and Steppproductspecifications
  • Work with customers to write bid specifications around Stepp Mfg.'s product design
  • Quote andsubmitbidstogovernment purchasing agencies
  • Attend area trade shows and become involved with area associations such as APWA, MSSA, etc.
  • Scheduleequipmentdemonstrations with new and repeat customers
  • Provide quality customer service and after-sales support to new and repeat customers
    • Answer sales and technical questions
    • Delivery of products sold tocustomers, and providingcustomer training
  • Monitor the company's industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs
  • Actively participate in the Company's continuous improvement effortsbyoffering feedback and suggestions fordeveloping and improvingnew and existing products throughyourexperiences andcustomers'needs
  • Other dutiesthat aredeemed necessary to support the Company's business operations
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to frequently changing priorities/tasks
