Job description

Mag Instrument, the manufacturer of Mag Lite® Flashlights, is actively recruiting experienced Quality Control / Quality Assurance professional with experience in high volume machining, manual assembly, automatic assembly, and packaging of consumer products.

Quality Control Supervisor

Selected individual will be responsible for supervision and training of all subordinate staff engaged in the inspection of flashlight electronics, machined, molded, and stamped parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies. This person will be the primary contact with upper management, Engineering, Machining, Assembly & Packaging, Purchasing and Planning personnel to meet the required specifications. Responsible for quality control and disposition of all machined parts and quality assurance for all assembled products.

Essential Functions:

· 10+ years of proven QC and QA experience in a fast-paced consumer products manufacturing environment.

· Organizes, provides training to staff and assigns work as necessary to ensure the inspection department operates efficiently and supports the manufacturing requirements

· The position requires firsthand experience inspecting electronics, machined, molded and stamped parts as well as assemblies and subassemblies.

· Able to handle and oversee inspections in all aspects of the manufacturing process

· Thorough knowledge of quality assurance and control processes and procedures. Maintain quality documentation, SOP’s and testing procedures.

· Must have previous experience with ISO 9001 implementation and audit.

· Must be hands-on, self-motivated and possess highly effective leadership, communication skills to collaborate with cross functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, engineering and purchasing) to ensure all incoming and outgoing products meet the quality standard.

· Reports to management of any issues and seek effective solutions.

· Maintain an up-to-date in-house calibration process for all inspections gauges

· Bilingual in Spanish and English desirable

· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or QC/QA
