Job description

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Site Civil Engineer (EIT) to join our dynamic Land Development Engineering team. This position reports to the Engineering Team Leader and is responsible for plan production, performing and reviewing design calculations, and assisting project teams with a variety of site/civil land development engineering projects. The Site Civil Engineer will work alongside teams to deliver flawlessly executed designs of site layouts, utilities, sanitary and storm sewer, grading and earthwork, erosion control, stormwater management systems and stormwater pollution prevention plans.

What You Will Do:
  • Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans, grading plans, and site designs.
  • Provide technical support in site/civil design, hydrology/hydraulics, erosion and sedimentation control, and stormwater management
  • Coordinate permitting with County and local municipalities.  Experience with local municipalities is a plus.
  • Strong interest and working knowledge in hydrology and stormwater management.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, appropriately prioritize workflow and complete tasks.
  • Work with project management team to identify impediments and develop / implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
  • Perform pavement assessments and compiling data and reports
  • Occasional field work, frequent local travel, and overnight travel as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering 
  • 1+ years related experience.
  • An Engineer Intern (E.I.) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience in Autodesk Civil 3d
  • Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology preferred.
