Position Summary:
Astemo is a global product leader in advanced, sustainable mobility technologies. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist Intern to support HR Operations, specifically with the development and implementation of our Operations Excellence System.
Under the direction of the HR Manager and HR team, this role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing HR operations, onboarding, data/reporting, and administrative support. This internship is designed to develop practical HR skills while contributing to key strategic initiatives that support Astemo's people and culture.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):
  • Knowledge of computer systems and software necessary to perform the job duties
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week during the agreed internship period
  • Reliable transportation to the Greenfield, IN facility (on-site role)
  • Currently pursuing or accepted into an associate or bachelor's degree program in:
    • Human Resources
    • Business / Management/ Administration or related field
    • Marketing / Communications
    • Psychology/Sociology

Preferred Qualifications (Education, Experience and Skills)
  • Interest in manufacturing or automotive environments
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Interest in Human Resources

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department: 50%
  • Support new hire orientation and onboarding processes: 10%
  • Assist with associate engagement activities and HR events: 10%
  • Assist with HR data entry, reporting, and project tracking: 10%
  • Other duties as assigned: 20%

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and to adjust actions in relation to others' actions
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify complex problems & review related information to develop and evaluate options & implement solutions
  • Ability to maintain a high level of flexibility and be able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities
  • Knowledge of Astemo organization, locations, products and positions
  • Effective time and project management skills and maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Utilization of active listening & effective written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with people at various levels (both internal and external) in a multicultural, multinational environment
  • Ability to promote and exemplify the "Astemo Philosophy" and maintain a clean and orderly work environment in accordance with "6S."
  • Make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and maintain high level of motivation
